BankWest has a proud history which dates back to 1895 when it opened its doors as the Agricultural Bank of Western Australia. Today, BankWest is rapidly developing a national presence across Australia offering a full range of great products and services to suit all Australian customers' needs.

As part of its rapid growth BankWest is undergoing a massive national expansion program which will see more than 125 new retail and 35 business branches open in the eastern states of Australia over the next three years, in addition to the 93 retail and 28 business branches existing in its home state.

Our range of personal finance products includes transactional, deposit, credit and lending accounts. These products are offered through our branch network and cost-effective direct and third party distribution channels, including 24-hour telephone and internet services and mortgage brokers.

In Western Australia, BankWest is a market leader with about one quarter of all bank advances and deposits.
